MISSION OF WWMS

Hospital and Clinic Managers
We are all aware there is an ongoing shortage of mammographers nation wide, including the State of Washington.  Part of the mission of the Western Washington Mammography Society is to help encourage more women to specialize their radiologic technologist skills in mammography.  We also want to make sure our members are aware of job openings, especially to fill openings as quickly as possible.  The shortage tends not to change the number of patients seen per day but to have the mammographers work often times, too hard to provide excellent Breast Health care.  We want to make sure there are enough mammographers on staff so all those who need mammography services can receive them and so the mammographers do not "burn out" while providing the services.
